Stretching 40 kilometres along the Gulf of St. Lawrence shore, Prince Edward Island National Park long harboured Mi'kmaq, Acadian and British inhabitants. In 1937, the park was established to protect a fragile landscape of red sandstone cliffs, offshore bars, submerged estuaries, and vast expanses of beach. From Anne of Green Gables to the rum smugglers of Dalvay-by-the-Sea, from the great blue heron to the wildflowers of the park's Acadian forest, join us in exploring the history and wildlife of Prince Edward Island National Park.
